Just In Case I Die

Published in 2021

Are there things you have left unsaid to the people you care about the most? Are there things you have left undone because you are afraid to take the next step? What legacy are you leaving behind? In this work of inspirational fiction entitled Just in Case I Die, those very questions are addressed, beginning with a challenge to the reader in the opening chapter of the book.

After the initial challenge is posed and accepted, the middle chapters are each narrated by different characters who, after learning from mistakes that they or someone else have made, find the courage to say the things that need to be said, liberating themselves to live the lives they desperately desire to live. The characters range in age and experience from a middle-school boy who misses his father to an elderly woman who wishes to share her wisdom with the world, addressing subjects such as love, death, hope, sexual assault, racial reconciliation, mental health, faith, and relationships.
